Have spent much of this week working on a painting I did of All Saints Church, Kingston.
Out of the blue some of the group I paint with were asked if they had something which could be given to the Musical Director Simon Toyne who in July is moving onto pastures – or is that staves – new.
It was a painting where I’d gone partially representational, a bit experimental and enjoyed it. But not finished. They chose it. Once again it needed a few days just looking then the finishing. A fellow painter said it is a bit ‘Piper’. I love his work so I guess his influence is not surprising.
Always satisfying to see something you have enjoyed crafting find a new home.
