I kept the sun out of my eyes leaning on trusty George V's plinth which was OK for half an hour. But then bang - the sun popped round the corner. Forgot it moved. Contra jour is good but this beyond tolerance so I had to move...not ideal but I had sufficient to finish.
Walking round the spaces is impressive - sufficiently so in some rooms, by no means not all - to overcome my anti-mock Gothic prejudice. The big spaces shout grandeur but the lesser spaces and corridors are dour.
