Mainly in and around South Kensington which could have become a bit repetitive in itself but one of the great benefits of drawing is it makes you look not only as you draw but in finding the views.
The variety in such a well defined - not to say well refined – area is astonishing from the rooftop conservatory, through crown on a parapet, rows of ‘slab’ chimney stacks, buskers to maximum site use of the wedge shaped apartments (formerly called flats) between the underground and Thurlough Square.
Reminiscent of but nowhere near as fine as New York’s Flat Iron Building. I've put three in this blog before, but I’ve added a page for London with all 12 as a set.
In a week’s time I’m off to Northumberland…lots to see, sketch and paint there.
